PG-13?

When does a movie move past PG-13 to R rated?

How much sexual content moves it to that point? Or is it a heated political scene that nudges it towards the abyss.

Or simple too many of the f-bombs being dropped.

Or it could be just that it's viewed more than 225 times and the Motion Picture Association is just worried that it's going to go R without them realizing it.

And did you know that they are keeping track of your viewing habits and you're on a list. Kind of like the communist list back in the day I guess.

I think the Motion Picture Association needs to lighten up a little.

Such deep questions, lol.

I though R meant 95%+ naked, "hard" sex, lol. Lots of slamming and bamming and gasping.

I think violence is what should really trigger the R. Very bloody murders, cackling dismemberments, sadistic sex and all the loving close-ups of these accompanied by heart-pumping music.

How did I get on a list? I didn't sign up for any dumb list!

Nice Holiday post, btw! *winky smooch*

I have a "Regal Movie Club Card," and I assume they keep track of the movies I see, with the card. After a certain number of points, I get free popcorn, sodas, candy, and movies. So I've whored myself out to them, so they can keep track of my viewing habits, all for some free junk food.

I only saw one movie at the theater this year: Bolt. I will go see 007 when it comes out - if it's not already out.

Boo honey, 007 has been out for over a month I think. I'm not sure it's still even at the theatres *grin

This was more on the commentary of Over There more than movies. I'm not good at subtext *grin again

But speaking of movies, I hated 7 lbs. I think I hate it more since I was really thinking it was going to be good.

I saw an article in the paper last year that expalined the ratings. You can have "x" amount of nudity, and/or "x" amount of language, and/or "x" of violence to be pg-13. The article said that pg-13 is that magic $ number. Teens will go as well as adults. They will take out a few words, a really violent scene or maybe an almost nude scene to make it pg-13 cause it's what makes the most money...I think they should leave it up the parents more than leave one scene out- but that's just me.

I'm not old enough to watch R rated movies.

I thought of you on Saturday and LMAO. We had a date planned and were going to see 007. It was only playing during the day. I guess it has been out for a while.
